in order to facilitate development, it would be useful if a datastax cluster (one cassandra, one hadoop, one Solr nodes) could be deployed on a single machine.
For starters, I have copied the installation files to two separate folder and modified some configuration files (modified common ports and data folder locations in cassandra.yaml, jmx port at cassandra-env.sh), but still this seems not to be working. Even if two dse processes seem to be running, there is no communication between them.
Could you please provide any hints on how this could work? Otherwise, multiple VMs should be used instead as dse nodes...
